The EIS Alliance is a consortium of equipment suppliers, energy consultants, and interested parties working together to develop common energy information standards allowing homeowners to intelligently manage energy consumption by enabling the sharing of energy information between equipment.
The EIS Alliance believes that this type of cooperation is needed to meet the US Department Of Energy (DOE) goal of making Net Zero Energy (NZE) homes by 2020. In the U.S., residential homes comprise close to 113M buildings and account for approximately 21% of primary U.S. energy consumption. ¹
