The Industrial Group within the EIS Alliance consists of manufacturers, energy consultants and equipment suppliers working together to develop common energy information standards that support efficient sharing of energy information on the factory floor and with all support departments in a manufacturing organization.
As a guideline, this industrial market typically consists of manufacturers with SIC codes between 20 and 39 inclusive that have a monthly demand of one megawatt or more. Manufacturing facilities with demands of less than one megawatt would also qualify if at least of 50 percent of their electrical load is dedicated to production.
The EIS Alliance believes this cooperation will strengthen the technical infrastructure of participating companies and better prepare them for the challenging energy initiatives that lie ahead.
